Building a STAR Story Bank Before Your Next Interview

Behavioural questions repeat: conflict, failure, leadership, influence without authority, ambiguity, tight deadline, difficult stakeholder, biggest achievement.

Write eight stories in Situation, Task, Action, Result format. Keep results quantified and keep each story under two minutes spoken.

Rehearse aloud, ideally recorded. Reading silently hides pacing and filler-word problems entirely.

Close each answer with what you would do differently. It signals reflection without undermining the result.
